Join us for an evening of cowboy poetry with Jake Riley and R.P. Smith. This is a free event that is open to the public and intended for anyone ages 18+.Jake Riley grew up in Colorado’s upper Arkansas Valley, where roping, rodeoing, and ranch work shaped his love of cowboy culture and poetry. He began sharing his work at church before performing at the Nebraska Cowboy Poetry Gathering in 2016. Since then, he has appeared at events across the country, including five times at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada. His poetry blends contemporary themes with classic recitations, appealing to audiences of all ages. Jake and his family now call central Nebraska home.
R.P. Smith supports his ranching habit by entertaining audiences nationwide with cowboy poetry and country commentary. He has performed in fourteen states and Canada and has been featured at some of the largest cowboy poetry gatherings in the country. R.P. values sharing new work and celebrating the talents of fellow western entertainers, making each performance a one-of-a-kind experience.
