About this Event
The New York City Department of Records and Information Services will host a pop-up exhibition featuring the original Greensward plan - the winning master plan submitted in 1858 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux as part of the proposal for the Central Park design competition. Rarely seen in public, the plan is considered a masterpiece of 19th century landscape architecture. The Greensward plan will be shown alongside Egbert Viele’s 1855 topographical map of the site, and original architectural drawings will also be presented.
