About this Event
On June 5th at 5:00 pm, the League of Women Voters will celebrate our 105th anniversary with a special journey to the New York City Library.
Join this special docent-led journey through New York City’s iconic 42nd Street Library as we visit the Treasures Exhibit, hear the history of the Library, get a glimpse of the important manuscripts and momentos of suffragists & civil rights leaders and and get a behind-the-scenes accounting of working in the rare manuscripts division. Our thanks to Nina Liebman, League member, for opening up the secrets of the library for us.
After the tour, we will all gather at the League’s office at 4 West 43rd Street, 6th floor, to raise a toast to 105! Light refreshments will be served.
There is no cost for members, but RSVP is required. For others, a suggested donation of $10 is welcome.
There are three entrances to the building: main entrance on Fifth Avenue, which has stairs, or the accessible entrances at 40th Street (street level but long walk) or 42nd Street with ramp. Additional accessibility information can be found at the bottom of this webpage. here, at the bottom of the page.
