About this Event
This July 4th both Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson (impersonators) will be in Gadsby's Tavern to extol and sing about the virtues of being American. They'll be accompanied by Robert (Bob) Smith who, after 32 years, retired from the military as its premier U.S. Army pianist. Smith has played for 5 Presidents in the White House performing for a 'who's who' list of American celebrities and world leaders. Name your favorite American tune at this party. Smith will play it. This is the very Tavern where America's Founding Fathers dined, debated and would imbibe as they wrote on these very same wooden tables their first drafts of the U.S. Constitution. No building in Washington, D.C., is more authentic to American history than Gadsby's Tavern. Your seated dinner menu offers a wide choice of Colonial favorites such as roasted duck and grilled salmon. George Washington's favorite peanut soup will be a highlight served before dinner. Total bar service is at your own expense, but the seated dinner with all gratuities for all waiters, performers, taxes, fees, and government rental charges are included in your ticket price along with free parking. One ticket is $198 per person or $350 for two . This party is a private party by invitation only. Call 800-955-9942 and ask for Cynthia at the Fun & Fitness Travel Club, LLC. established in 1998 with 5000 members nationwide. Payment is via personal check only paid now. Reservations end May 1, 2026.
