Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with Charlotte Chinese Story Time!Join us on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 AM for a special Chinese Storytime at Pineville Library Community Room. This family-friendly event is designed for young children and caregivers to enjoy stories, language, culture, and creativity together.
During storytime, we will read and share two beloved picture books inspired by Chinese culture:
Amy Wu and the Perfect Bao and Luli and the Language of Tea.
The stories will be told in Chinese, making this a wonderful opportunity for children to hear the language in a warm, engaging, and joyful setting.
After storytime, our local artist will lead a Paper Flower Art Workshop in celebration of Mother’s Day. Children will create beautiful paper flowers as a special handmade gift. All materials will be provided.
Storytime is free and does not require RSVP.
The art workshop is also free, but RSVP is required due to limited space and materials.
