About this Event
Since 2005, Turning Green (https://turninggreen.org/) has grown from a grassroots vision into a global movement — mentoring youth worldwide to take climate action and creating a statewide model for fresh, local, 100% organic school meals. This year, our programs reached tens of thousands of students through Project Green Challenge, and in California, Conscious Kitchen (https://www.consciouskitchen.org/) connected farmers, distributors, school leaders, and families to serve six million students healthy, sustainable meals. With partners, policymakers, and our esteemed California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond championing this work, we’re showing what’s possible — and imagining even more for the future.
