Congregation Emanuel has established a proud tradition of giving back to those members who have given of themselves in a fashion that sets them apart, congregants who truly inspire us through their example to be better and to do more. This year, our beloved Ellen Leifer is that congregant! She has taken on a leadership role in more ways than can be counted and is a valued member of the general and Jewish community at large. Certainly, her presence at our Shabbat services in her role as Gabbai is one that everyone treasures and holds dear. Without this sort of stewardship, Congregation Emanuel would not be the vibrant community that it is today.
