The Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist church is celebrating 147 years as a congregation and 50 years in our church building. You are invited to join us in celebrating Friday evening May 8 and all day Sabbath May 9, 2026.
This celebration will include:
* Friday evening vespers sharing the church history and personal stories from the past 50 years.
* Sabbath morning joint Sabbath School including a panel discussion panel with past Bible Workers, Associate Pastors, etc.
* Sabbath morning church service with a previous pastor as guest speaker and our current pastor sharing a charge for the future.
* Sabbath lunch at the Cedar Lake Elementary gym.
* Sabbath afternoon Something Else reunion, other musicians, and sing-along.
* Sabbath evening vespers, bonfire, and campfire meal.
IMPORTANT: We would love to share old photos and/or videos that capture the life of Cedar Lake Church—members, gatherings, special events, and more—during this upcoming event (including memories from before the current church building was constructed).
If you have any pictures or videos you would be willing to share, please email them to [email protected]. You are welcome to simply take a photo of a printed picture with your phone or scan it and send it to us. Thank you so very much for helping us celebrate these special memories! 😃
