Chennai Cyclists presents KIDS CYCLING RACE Supported by Tamilnadu Cycling Association
Organized as part of the Chennai Cycling Thiruvizha happening on 02-FEB-2025.
Join us for an exciting and fun-filled Kids Cycle Race! This event is designed for children ages 8 to 12, offering a chance to race against friends, make new ones, and experience the thrill of competition in a safe and exciting environment. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or new to racing, this event is the perfect opportunity to show off your skills, enjoy the outdoors, and have loads of fun!
This Kids Cycling Race aims to provide young riders with a thrilling experience of competitive cycling. Organized to nurture and inspire a passion for the sport, the event also seeks to identify enthusiastic and talented children, offering them mentorship and guidance to potentially make cycling their chosen sport.

Race Route:
The course will consist of [short distance or laps] around a well-marked route with fun twists and turns. Each race category will have different distances suited for their age and skill level.
Registration:
Participants must be registered before the event. Please ensure your child has a helmet, a working bike, and is ready to race! It is preferred to bring your own cycle for the kid. If that is not possible, cycles will be provided (sizes would be subject to availability). Helmet would be arranged for all the participants.
Race Instructions:
Arrival & Check-in:
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your race time to check in and get your race number.
Ensure your bike is in good condition (brakes, tires are working properly).
Make sure your child wears a properly fitted helmet.
Safety First:
Riders must wear a helmet at all times during the race.
Bikes should be in good working order; please check brakes and tires.
No training wheels allowed.
Be aware of your surroundings and respect other participants during the race.
Starting Line:
All participants will line up at the starting line according to their age group.
There will be a countdown before each race begins.
During the Race:
Keep a steady pace and follow the racecourse.
Follow all race marshals’ instructions. They will be stationed at key points for guidance and safety.
If you fall or need help during the race, raise your hand and a marshal will assist you.
Finish Line:
Race timing ends when you cross the finish line.
The top finishers in each age category will receive medals and a special prize!
Post-Race Fun:
After the race, join us to celebrate your accomplishments!
Photos will be taken at the finish line, and there will be an awards ceremony.
Race Etiquette:
Be respectful to your fellow racers.
Always give way to other cyclists if you're slower.
Remember, the most important thing is to have fun!
