For all Deans, Directors, Head Librarians, Coordinators, & Department Chairs in the Libraries of the California Community Colleges
The Council of Chief Librarians, CCC presents the 2026 CCL Annual Meeting. This annual conference brings together the leaders of the California Community Colleges libraries -- the deans, directors, head librarians, coordinators, and department chairs -- for a full agenda of presentations and sessions:
• to explore issues important to the CCC libraries and librarians;
• to strategize, prioritize, and set goals;
• to identify and understand new opportunities and tools and philosophies for library management and professional development;
• to network and to strengthen collaborative bonds and partnerships.
And, Yes! we will celebrate the Library Services Platform program accomplishments and next steps!! Oh, and that California State Budget, the evolving DEI landscape in higher education, AI innovations and the recent fires -- yes, we'll talk about that, too.
CCL invites each CCC library manager (dean, director, coordinator, head librarian, dept. chair, etc.) to attend -- and CCL covers the cost of an individual hotel room (Thursday, 3/13) and most meals for that one person from each college. Transportation costs are to be covered by each college or district.
We begin with lunch on Thursday March 12 and work till 5pm with an evening reception. Dinner is on your own. Then we restart on Friday at 8:30 am and end with lunch.
