About this Event
The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) will present historical facts exposing the little-known prime instigators of “scientific racism,” who used this pseudoscience to perpetuate and justify discrimination, segregation and harsh treatment of Blacks.
The legacy of “scientific racism” is seen today in the mental health system, where Blacks are overly diagnosed, drugged and held against their will for mental health issues.
The Citizens Commission on Human Rights was co-founded in 1969 by members of the Church of Scientology and the late psychiatrist and humanitarian Thomas Szasz, M.D., recognized by academics as present-day psychiatry’s most authoritative critic, to eradicate abuses and restore human rights and dignity to the field of mental health.
This CCHR Open House will include a buffet lunch, pop up exhibit and presentation.
