To launch the community cinema, we are very excited to be showing “THE OUTRUN”. Based on the best-selling memoir by Amy Liptrot, THE OUTRUN is set in the otherworldly Orkney islands of Scotland. A brutally honest drama about addiction and recovery, strength and survival, mental health and the ability of the sea, the land and of people to restore life and renew hope.Starting at 6.30pm, the Cairngorm Community Cinema crew will be on hand to explain what the new film initiative is all about. Plus we will have special guests related to the film for a special q&a. We will also collect donations for RSBP on the evening (as they feature in The Outrun!).
Community-owned but operated in partnership with Spey Valley Cinema and supported by the BFI and Film Hub Scotland, Cairngorm Community Cinema aims to create a space where the community can gather, discover new perspectives, and enjoy film. At just £5 a ticket, we're making it accessible to all. Tickets available on the evening so turn up!
