About this Event
Join us for this in person tour of CCAT’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) located at 409 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT.
Additive Manufacturing (also called 3D Printing) is rapidly being adopted as an important manufacturing and repair tool across all industries. It is critical that today’s manufacturing companies, and people exploring career opportunities keep aware of what AM is, the advantages of AM and how it competes with and compliments existing technologies, how it can be and is being used and career opportunities as we look to the future growth of it’s use in mainstream manufacturing and a myriad of other industries.
CCAT is hosting its first Additive Manufacturing Summit to introduce interested companies, students and educators to the technologies and equipment that are starting to revolutionize manufacturing. Industry experts will spend the day discussing what technologies are available and how people are using them to make things potentially faster, cheaper, lighter and/or with a higher level of complexity than can be built using conventional technologies.
The Additive Manufacturing Summit will feature polymer (plastic) processes in the morning, and metal AM processes in the afternoon.
In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to tour CCAT’s Advanced Technology Center to see many of the additive (and other Industry 4.0) technologies in use, and be able to network and have technical discussions with fellow attendees, presenters and CCAT’s staff.
