Candid Conversations About Cannabis aims to foster open and informed discussions about cannabis within our community by providing accurate information that empowers individuals to make responsible decisions regarding cannabis use. Through these workshops, we seek to address common misconceptions, learn about public health and safety standards, and explore the science behind cannabis (including associated health risks).
This workshop will provide historical context for the War on Drugs, examining the impact of punitive and targeted cannabis enforcement policies and practices on marginalized communities, and efforts being taken to repair past cannabis criminalization through Senate Bill 1294 (California Cannabis Equity Act) and social equity programs.
