At the end of a long life, Richard Strauss gazed into the sunset, and well, let's just say there's a reason why his Four Last Songs are such a favourite on Desert Island Discs. And that few living sopranos sing them more gloriously than Lucy Crowe. And Wagner's barnstorming overture and Brahms's sunniest symphony, and supporting the CBSO Benevolent Fund has never sounded so good.

Fabien Gabel – Conductor
Lucy Crowe – Soprano
