Cavort presents a night of classic UK rave energy as we welcome a true pioneer of the scene — Mark Archer (Altern 8 / Nexus 21 / Bizarre Inc) — to B.U.M.S this April.As far as rave legends go, few artists sit higher on the list. A founding member of Bizarre Inc and one half of Nexus 21 and Altern 8, Mark has also released music under numerous aliases including DJ Nex, Trackman and Slo Moshun. Widely recognised as one of the most influential electronic music producers of the last three decades, he helped define the sound of early UK rave culture and continues to perform globally today.
Still writing and DJing across the world, his sets blend jacking acid, classic techno, funk, hardcore, hip-hop and, of course, his most iconic speciality — Old Skool Rave. A resident at Bangface Weekender and a regular at major festivals including Glastonbury, Boomtown and Shindig, Mark brings serious pedigree to the dancefloor.
Joining the lineup, local party curators Homegrown will be kicking things off and setting the tone for the night.
Support on the night also comes from Cavort DJs Gaz Dunning and Craig Kirby, delivering the signature Cavort atmosphere from start to finish.
Expect an intimate underground session celebrating rave heritage in true Cavort style.
