Singer, songwriter and producer, Cavetown (Robin Skinner), is set to release his eagerly anticipated new album ‘Running With Scissors’ on January 16th. He shares new single ‘Tarmac’ alongside details of a major international headline tour for 2026. ‘Tarmac’, co-written with Orla Gartland, follows the rapturously received singles ‘Rainbow Gal’ and ‘Baby Spoon’, and is indicative of Cavetown’s bold new era. His core indie-pop sound is infused with expansive textures ranging from grunge guitar to sweet swathes of vocal harmonies and unexpected sonics that reflect his love of the unpredictability of hyperpop and the intensity of post-hardcore. Thematically, it extends his raw confessionals into a place in which love is complicated: wanting something to be forever, fearing it’s over, and trying to suppress the negative thoughts that flood his consciousness as a result.
Cavetown recently joined Pierce The Veil as a special guest on their run of European arena dates. During the London stop at the OVO Arena Wembley, their vocalist Vic Fuentes joined him on stage for a very special performance of ‘a kind thing to do’, their collaboration from Cavetown’s 2022 album ‘worm food’.
