Cattywampus is excited to bring our annual people-powered Parade & Block Party to Suttree Landing Park again this year! On Sunday, May 17th, led by our very own Knox Honkers & Bangers, we'll be filling South Knoxville with art, dancing, and collective joymaking, and we want you to join us. This year’s theme is “Where the Waters Meet” and the parade is free and open to all. We invite you to make giant puppets, costumes and other creations in celebration of water and a commitment to protect our waterways and all of the life they support. We will then flow together as one and parade along the Tennessee River, a beautiful confluence of community and art.*Parade Line Up: 2pm at Suttree Landing Park Pavilion
*Parade Kick Off: 3pm
*Route: We’ll process along the River Walk Greenway and then up Waterfront Dr concluding on the Festival Lawn!
BLOCK PARTY: Our Parade will transition into a Block Party on the Suttree Landing Festival Lawn from 3:30-6pm, featuring a stage with performances by DJs Drewskii & Nyrae, J.Bu$h, Jarrett Wildcatt, Rica Chicha and others, art & ecology activities for all ages, food vendors, and much more. You don't wanna miss it! Full line-up to be announced soon!!
