About this Event
Express yourself and find catharsis through creative expressive arts (painting/drawing/journaling)
Get to know yourself better and increase self awareness
Build confidence and compassion
Become mindful and relieve stress
Discuss mental well-being in a safe and supportive environment
The aim of these sessions is to provide free, accessible support to those of us who are experiencing feelings associated with stress, anxiety, loneliness and depression through workshops (some of which) will be delivered by qualified facilitators pulling from art therapy techniques, mindfulness and positive psychology.
Artistic expression comes naturally to all of us so you don’t need to be the next Van Gogh to take part! We’ll guide you through themed prompts and exercises with mindful compassion to help process thoughts and feelings and increase your self awareness. We will allow a safe space to discuss and share with a group of like minded people with the possibility of throughout time building a mindful art journal that will accompany and track any progress you make.
Basic art materials are provided but you are encouraged to bring your own if your prefer.
We will hold these sessions on the first Monday of the month with a different theme to explore every time. Our monthly art workshops will also be accompanied by our weekly Mindfulness Circles so keep an eye out for our other events too.
Please arrive just before 6pm to allow for a prompt start time and to gain the most from the session.
