About this Event
The first weekend in June is fee-free fishing weekend in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a great chance to try out a new hobby. Learn how to cast, fillet, cook, and everything in between before applying for your license with the state Department of Wildlife Resources.
This clinic is designed for first-timers over the age of 16. Rods and supplies will be included, though you are welcome to bring your own fishing rod if you already have it.
This event is produced by the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin in partnership with Patricia Clement.
We will be meeting at the kayak launch at Pohick Bay Regional Park at 9:00 am.
