🆓 No Fishing Licenses Required * 🆓 No Recreation Passports/Vehicle Entry Fees required for the park.
It’s the ideal time to try fishing for the first time or introduce someone new to the sport without any of the usual costs.

Date: Saturday, June 13th
Location: Bishop Lake, Brighton (Brighton Recreation Area)
Target Species: Panfish (Bluegill, Sunfish, Crappie, etc.)
⏰ The Schedule
As early as you want to arrive – 11:00 AM: Fishing! Drop your lines as soon as you get to the lake and help us gather the morning's catch.
11:00 AM: Fish Cleaning Demo. We'll show you exactly how to clean and fillet panfish.
11:30 AM – Finish: The Fish Fry! We’ll fry up the morning's catch for everyone to enjoy.
🎒 What to Bring
Fishing Gear: Bring your rods, reels, and tackle.
Kayak or canoe if you want.
Sun Protection: Don't forget the sunblock and hats!
A Dish to Pass: We’ll provide the fresh fish; please bring a side dish, snack, or dessert to share.
