Catalyst Club - Save the date 30th November - Coming to RockawayFounded in 2004, The Catalyst Club is a monthly event inspired by the traditions of French Salons, debating societies, and Gentlemen’s Clubs. Since then, it has hosted over 700 talks on topics ranging from zombie films and Marmite to the history of the Martini, suffragettes, Spartans, demonology, bum reading, and slime mould. Each event features three guest speakers, each delivering a 15-minute talk on a subject they’re passionate about, no matter how unusual or niche.
The first Catalyst Club at Rockaway will be hosted by Dr. David Bramwell, who isn’t actually a doctor but enjoys the title, and will feature Dustan Bruce of Chumbawamba and Interrobang?!, with more guests and details to come.
A true multi-talent, David Bramwell has created BBC Radio 3 and 4 programs, authored books like The No9 Bus to Utopia and The Haunted Moustache, and performs with Oddfellow’s Casino.
