Castle Peak Hike – 80s Edition

Join On Trail With for an 80s-themed, family friendly hike to Castle Peak and the Cave of Munits. This 3.6 mile loop combines scenic views, a summit climb, and unique cave exploration, all with a fun throwback vibe.

We’ll begin at Bell Canyon Park (or El Escorpion Park access), hike to a scenic overlook with views of Castle Peak, continue up to the summit, then descend toward the Cave of Munits via the Scorpion Trail before looping back to the start.

This route features a great mix of open ridgelines, shaded sections, creek crossings, and one of the most unique geological features in the area.

Water, snacks, sunscreen, and proper hiking shoes. Long pants are recommended due to some overgrown sections of trail.

80s attire is encouraged but optional. Neon, retro, and fun energy welcome.

This is a moderate hike with some steep and uneven sections. Please come prepared and hike at your own comfortable pace.
