Castle MTB Charity Ride 2026 – In Memory of Nick & Mark
Each year we ride in memory of our friend Nick "Joe90", who we lost to cancer. This year, with heavy hearts, the ride will also honour our dear friend Mark "Sparky", who sadly passed away after his own battle with the disease.
Both were valued members of the club and treasured friends to so many of us. This ride is our way of remembering them, celebrating their lives, and raising some money for a good cause in their names.
When: Saturday 20th June 2026, 10am
Where: Caerphilly train station car park
The ride
- Easy off-road trails, suitable for all abilities
- Pub stop along the way (venue TBC)
- A relaxed, social pace — this is about good company, not racing
Bikes & kit
- A bike and a helmet are essential — no helmet, no ride
- All bikes welcome, e-bike or pedal
- We'll be moving at pedal-bike pace so nobody gets left behind
Charity
We'll be collecting donations on the day — the chosen charity will be confirmed closer to the event
