Volunteer Opportunities

Bookkeeper
Support the financial health of the festival by tracking expenses, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure transparent, well-organized finances.

Newsletter Creator & Sender
Create and distribute engaging email newsletters that keep our community informed, inspired, and connected.

Social Media Lead & Team Members
Develop and share content that grows our audience, highlights films and events, and amplifies positive stories about aging across platforms.

Volunteer Director
Recruit, onboard, support, and coordinate volunteers, helping build a welcoming and sustainable volunteer culture.

Film Researchers & Reviewers
Watch, research, and evaluate film submissions to help curate thoughtful, impactful programming aligned with our mission.

Fundraising Team Lead & Fundraisers
Help design and carry out fundraising initiatives, donor outreach, and campaigns that support the festival’s sustainability and growth.

Marketing Team Lead & Marketers
Plan and implement marketing strategies to promote events, partnerships, and the festival’s national profile.

CRM Optimization (Monday.com)
Support the setup and improvement of our CRM system to better manage contacts, volunteers, partners, and workflows.

Administration Support
Assist with scheduling, documentation, coordination, and day-to-day organizational tasks that keep everything running smoothly.

Board Members
Provide governance, strategic guidance, and oversight to support the long-term vision and accountability of the organization.

Committee Members
Serve on working committees (programming, marketing, fundraising, community engagement) to help shape and deliver specific areas of the festival’s work.

Event Leaders
Lead on-site or virtual events, coordinating volunteers, timelines, and logistics to ensure welcoming, well-run experiences.

Ticket Takers / Front-of-House Volunteers
Welcome audiences, scan tickets, and help create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere at screenings and events.
