🍀 Cast Your Own Lucky Pewter Shamrock/Clover Coin or Pendant
Create a one-of-a-kind lucky charm just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!
In this hands-on class, participants will start with polymer clay shamrocks, customizing their design with initials, Lucky 7s, or other creative additives. Once your design is complete, you’ll bake it with a backing, create a silicone mold, and then cast your piece in pewter.
By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with your own lucky pocket coin or wearable pendant—designed and cast entirely by you.
What you’ll learn and do:
- Customize polymer clay shamrock designs
- Create a silicone mold
- Cast pewter safely and successfully
- Finish your piece for wearing or carrying

No prior experience is necessary—just bring your creativity.
All tools and materials are provided.
Please wear natural fibers, close-toed shoes, full length pants, and have any long hair pulled back. If you would like to bring your own safety glasses you may; otherwise, we will have extras here.

Brandon Harrell is the Director of the Inventor Center and accomplished artist and metalsmith. She is an ETSU alumni and has a Masters of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Brandon’s own work has been published, shown in multiple exhibits including SOFA Chicago, and she has been awarded at several juried exhibitions. Her work spans from fine art, to jewelry, to craft pieces.
Brandon has over 15 years of teaching experience including workshops, camps, and college classes. She enjoys teaching and showing others how to bring their ideas to tangible realities and experience the joy of creating. Brandon grew up here in East Tennessee and enjoys helping keep the maker spirit history of this region alive.
