Hailed with a voice that is “rich, forceful, and skillfully controlled,” and acting that is “truly compelling,” Cassandra Glaeser is an up-and-coming dramatic soprano to watch. Audiences are taken by her “powerful, mature sound,” which “soars” with “steady effectiveness.” She received her Doctor of Music degree in Voice with a minor in Music Education from Indiana University, her Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Lawrence University. This year, Dr. Glaeser joined the voice faculty at Eastern New Mexico University as Visiting Assistant Professor.
Hailed as a “tour de force” (Cultural Voice of North Carolina), Dr. Kyle Melton, tenor, has gained recognition as an artist both on the operatic and concert stage. Dr. Melton also joined the voice faculty at Eastern New Mexico University this year as Visiting Assistant Professor. This past season, Kyle appeared as the tenor soloist in Handel’s The Messiah (Part II) and Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël with Northshore Choral Society and as Yab in Mark Adamo’s Becoming Santa Claus with Opéra Louisiane, ending the season with his first faculty recital at Southeastern Louisiana University, performing works by Britten and Wainwright in conjunction with hornist Dr. Selena Boyda and pianist Dr. Irina Cunev.
Dr. Lanjiabao Ge, NCTM, is an accomplished pianist and educator with an active solo career, having performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, the Steinway Piano Gallery, and the Kennedy Center. She is a prizewinner of several international piano competitions, including the MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition, World Piano Teachers Association International Competition, Paderewski International Piano Competition, King’s Peak International Music Competition, and the Hershey Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition.Dr. Ge currently serves as Instructor of Collaborative Piano at Eastern New Mexico University.
