Presenters
Imelda Gonzalez - Hola mi Gente! My name is Imelda and I was Born and raised in San Francisco’s Mission & Excelsior District and recently moved to San Joaquin County. I am a mother, leader, warrior, advocate and I am BLESSED. As a daughter of undocumented parents I have over come many obstacles that an English language learner struggles with. I was a case manager before having the title, as a child I had to help my family with translation, health care, social services and learn how to navigate the system. I obtained my AA in Liberal Arts at City College of San Francisco. I am currently enrolled in Stanislaus State College pursuing a major in Criminal Justice. I have 17 total years experience working closely with Justice involved youth, in the community, SFUSD settings, and within the SF & Stockton Juvenile Justice System. I myself was involved in case management services at the age of 14years old up until a young adult. Having a strong and caring case manager as an ally can help mold and change your perspective.
