Every Wednesday to Sunday throughout the Festival, the riverbanks come alive with music. Get up and dance, indulge in some tasty food and drinks, or simply people watch on the banks of the river. These free performances promise a window to the world and an escape from the everyday.
Casa Musica kicks off with an RTRFM takeover on opening weekend. On Saturday 8 February, the iconic Jamdown Vershun celebrates 45 years of broadcasting with some of Perth’s finest dub and reggae acts. Then, on Sunday 9 February, Golden Apples of the Sun brings live sets from Peruvian maestros Kombi-A Train and more. The line-up only grows richer, with Warnindhilyagwa blues and roots singer Emily Wurramara, the dynamic rhythms of Lindigo from Réunion Island, and South Africa’s The Joy, whose powerful voices and traditional dancing will move your soul.
