Create a beautiful pendant or sculpture in local Somerset Alabaster. This 3 hour course is for all abilities and is suitable for complete beginners.The tutor is Nick Durnan, a highly experienced stone carver and sculptor who will guide you through all the processes to make, shape and polish your art work. All stone and tools are provided.
Alabaster is a soft, translucent, tactile stone which is a delight to work with. Come with your own ideas or use ready made templates. Reference books, articles, drawings and images of suitable alabaster projects will be provided.
This 3 hour workshop takes place at Abbey House. Tickets cost £48.
Please be aware that tickets are non refundable and cannot be transferred to other workshops or dates.
