EVENT NOTICE:The next Cars & Coffee of the Upstate is Saturday, August 24th, from 8:00am till 11:00am at Michelin's Headquarters off Pelham Road & Exit 54 of I-85.
We will be celebrating two things in a small display area at the event this month. First is the accomplishment of one of the women featured in the Motorsports display in April. Laura Hayes, in her Thunder Bunny Racing GT4 Supra, competed in this years Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Of special note, Laura Hayes not only won the GT4 Class but she also set the record for the fastest woman EVER at the Pikes Place Hillclimb. Stop by and hear what she has to say about her record breaking adventure. The second part of the display will showcase a preview of the new Michelin Primacy tire for EVs which will launch in September. We are hoping to have a couple of unique vehicles in this display that you don’t see everyday.
Of special note, I want to personally thank Alexis Garcin, President of Michelin North America, for his support of this event for the past 5 years. This will be Alexis’ last Cars & Coffee of the Upstate event before he returns to France to continue his career with Michelin. Alexis is a true “car guy” and his support has kept the event going and growing at Michelin’s Headquarters during his tenure in the US. Lets wish Alexis all the best in his future roles and we will welcome his successor at the October event.
Outside of the display area, the rest of the main lot is open to all Cars & Coffee attendees. Michelin has also allowed us to use the lower lot off of The Parkway next to the Marriott for overflow parking. There will be signs posted for both the main lot and the overflow lot.
Event details.
- Café service will have coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks and snacks available.
While this is an outdoor event and conditions have improved, please respect people’s wishes with regard to social distancing, etc.
Remember: obey all traffic laws (including NO loud revving, NO burnouts, NO 2-Step, etc.), meet new people and have fun.
- No Drones allowed (FAA rules for GSP airport)
T-SHIRTS & STICKERS ARE AVAILABLE!!! Cars & Coffee Upstate T-Shirts are in stock. Prices are $20 per shirt, CASH ONLY please. The shirts are available in black with white lettering or white with black lettering. We also have multiple colors of new Cars & Coffee of the Upstate vinyl stickers available at $5 each. As you know, sales of these items help offset the cost of police support and other C&C expenses.

REMEMBER: Don't put this event at risk!
You may have heard of multiple Cars & Coffee events losing their locations due to a couple of attendees disregarding the rules and doing burnouts or excessively revving their engines. BE RESPECTFUL, our location is surrounded by hotels and apartments. DO NOT ruin the event for all of those that come out for the right reason. The officers on duty will be writing tickets and we could be in jeopardy of loosing our venue. I ask everyone to spread the word to keep this a fun and safe event. Let’s keep the event a place that all hobbyists, families and friends can enjoy in a safe manner by continuing to observe all traffic laws.
NOTE: Drones are not allowed as we are in the landing pattern of GSP airport and there are insurance concerns if the drone hits anything.
To access the Michelin lot, turn off of Pelham Road onto The Parkway. Go to the second traffic light and turn right onto Parkway East. Follow the signs to the entrance of the main lot where Parkway East turns left to become Dry Pocket Road.
