About this Event
Carrie, I Remember You tells the story of Caroline “Carrie” Cartee Wood—one of Boise’s early daughters—and the rare 1876 Weber Grand piano (part of Idaho State Historical Society’s permanent collection). Through inspiring live music and engaging narration, soprano Leslie Mauldin will sing and pianist Paul Schilller will perform on the historic Weber Grand Piano. This unique event blends music, history, and atmosphere into an afternoon that stands out from the usual!
Performance will include Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and classics from the Great American Songbook (like On My Way to You and When I Fall in Love)
Whether you’re a longtime Boise local or just looking for something different to do, this is a chance to experience Idaho’s past and present in a way that feels personal, surprising, and alive.
This series is generously supported by a City of Boise Arts and History Grant.
More concerts are coming this summer and fall, featuring Basque songs, Spirituals, and stories from Eastern Idaho—stay tuned and WELCOME to IDAHO!
