BrothersAs we approach the winter holiday we would like to invite you to lend your voice in song and harmony to sing Carols in the community of West Des Moines at homes of friends, neighbors, loved ones, and sympathetic ears on the weekend of Dec 19th.
We will prepare 6 Caroling Melodies, and then harmonies if time permits:
Hark, the Herald Angels Sing
Silent Night
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
O Christmas Tree
Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming
Many More!
I approximate it will take about 8 hours to learn these simple pieces. There will be a call-out meeting Saturday Dec 6th between 9:00-9:30am to discuss logistics and guage interest followed by our first practice until 11:30am. This means there will be four 2 hour practices at Gnemeth lodge #577 on Wednesdays (10th-17th) 6-8pm and Saturdays (6th-13th) 9:30am-11:30am with performance on either the evening of Dec 20th or afternoon of Dec 21. If there are people beyond the lodge, young men in school choir, other lodges, friends, or relatives they are more than welcome to come to the call out.
