About this Event
Returning to The Sanctuary Studio after a powerful and deeply felt debut, Caro & Molina reunite for an intimate evening of flamenco guitar that promises even greater depth and resonance.
This rare collaboration brings together two of the most compelling young voices in contemporary flamenco—artists whose work is rooted in lineage, lived experience, and fearless exploration.
Caro, widely recognized as one of flamenco’s strongest rising guitarists, brings a level of authenticity and command that far exceeds her years. With over 13 years of formal training at elite conservatories, she went on to immerse herself directly in the Gypsy flamenco traditions of Spain. In 2025, she earned first prize in a major competition in Sevilla, along with a prestigious scholarship to continue her studies—an affirmation of her precision, emotional power, and unmistakable artistic voice. Her playing is dynamic yet grounded, honoring tradition while allowing the music to breathe and evolve.
Molina, also trained in Spain, is both a master guitarist and an ethnographer of the Gypsy culture of Caño Roto, Madrid—one of flamenco’s most iconic neighborhoods. His work bridges music, anthropology, and philosophy, drawing from revolutionary spiritualities of nature and the lived realities of the communities he studies. Molina’s playing is visceral and searching, scholarly yet raw, grounded in lineage while reaching toward new forms of expression.
Together, Caro and Molina create a sonic dialogue that is intimate, profound, and steeped in cultural history. Their return to the Sanctuary stage is not a repetition, but a continuation—two artists deepening a conversation, weaving stories through sound, and inviting the audience into the living, evolving soul of flamenco.
