Michael Stephen Brown has been hailed by the New York Times as "one of the leading figures in the current renaissance of performer-composers". Next spring, he returns to Music@Menlo with an all-star cast of musicians in a specially-curated program. The concert opens with Brown’s brand-new composition, inspired by a diverse animal kingdom and the need to protect our planet’s wildlife. The second half of the concert is a spectacular presentation of Camille Saint-Saëns’s beloved Carnival of the Animals, each movement vividly “painting” an animal in music.
