Step into the spirit of Mazatlán’s most colorful tradition and create a one-of-a-kind Carnaval mask to wear next year!In this two-session workshop, sculptor Carolyn Watson Dubisch will guide you through designing and building your own expressive mask using paper mâché and a ready-made mask base. In the first session you’ll shape and sculpt your design, and in the second you’ll bring it to life with paint, color, and finishing touches.
No experience is necessary - just bring your imagination! By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a unique handmade mask ready to debut at Carnaval 2027.

Gems, feathers, paint, elastic, foam clay, and other art supplies are provided.
