Join us at the World Heritage Center on Friday, September 19, 2025, as Carmen Tafolla, Ph.D., talks about how she has preserved culture and heritage throughout her career. A native of San Antonio, she became a world-renowned poet, storyteller, educator, and performance artist. Yet her work has always been grounded in community and heritage. In addition to hearing Tafolla recite some of her remarkable work, attendees will learn about the many ways she interwove her talents as a storyteller with her passion as a preservationist.
