We're looking for Carleton Place youth aged 7-18 who would like to take part in a Landscape Art Competition on Saturday, June 13, 2026.This is a ONE DAY event where youth will register, pick up a map starting at 9am on June 13 at the Carleton Place Public Library, and go to one of the approved locations to show us "The Beauty of Carleton Place" in a piece of artwork they make that day. All art must be created on that day and must depict a recognizable part of one of the locations.
Art can be done in any medium and may include people or animals, but the landscape must be the predominant focus of the work.
Work must be completed and handed back into the library by 5pm on June 13, 2026 to be eligible for prizes and to be included in the Art Show at the library June 15-25, 2026.
Prizes will be awarded in each age category (Ages 7-10, Ages 11-14, & Ages 15-18). Visitors to the Carleton Place Public Library during the Art Show from June 15-25 will be able to vote on their favourite piece. One artwork will be awarded "Best in Show" also.
