CARL DIXON - SOLOONE OF ROCK'S GREAT SURVIVORS
http://www.carldixon.com
You saw him at the Linda last year with WHO ARE YOU-A Tribute to the Who.
Now Carl Dixon from Coney Hatch (and formerly of The Guess Who and April Wine) brings his solo rock acoustic show to The Linda in Albany on Sunday, November 24 at 7pm.
Carl Dixon remains one of North America's stellar rock voices. Since first appearing on MTV in the 1980s, his soaring vocals and stage presence have kept him as a mainstay in the rock world for four decades. He was lead singer of The Guess Who for 8 years, toured in April Wine and as lead singer of Canadian rockers Coney Hatch he opened for Iron Maiden and Judas Priest's North American tours. When you've survived this long in the rock business you have a few stories to tell. Carl barely survived a shocking car accident in Australia. Now he's full of titanium bits yet plays and sings with more power and heart than ever before. His solo theatre show features the music he's been part of. He weaves the stories behind those songs with self effacing humour and brilliant music.
"Carl commands the stage with a relatability and charisma that both sets you at ease and straps you in for a rock and roll ride."
