About this Event
Caring for a beloved pet through chronic illness, injury, or age-related changes can be demanding—physically, emotionally, and mentally.Whether you're coordinating daily treatments, managing vet visits, or simply adjusting to a “new normal,” this monthly in-person support group is here for you.
Led by a Veterinary Social Worker, this group provides a safe, welcoming space to:
- Share your caregiving experiences with others who understand
- Learn practical tools for managing stress and avoiding burnout
- Access supportive resources and referrals
- Feel seen, supported, and less alone in the caregiving journey
This group is open to anyone currently caring for a pet with complex needs. Whether you're new to caregiving or have been on this path for a while, you are welcome here.

🗓 When: Monthly – Second Friday of each month
🕒 Time: 6:30–7:30 PM
📍 Location: Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral, Wilmington NC
💬 Cost: Free, preregistration required
📚 What to Expect: Guided discussion, peer connection, resource sharing, and emotional support
📝 Optional: Individual support sessions with a Veterinary Social Worker are also available by request
