A Note to Our Non-Black Friends & Allies
Cocoa Christmas Crawl was created as a joyful space to center and celebrate Black culture, community, and creativity in Oakland. We love and welcome the full diversity of our city — our allies, our neighbors, our friends. This space is for everyone committed to showing up in love, respect, and joy.
If you’re not Black, here’s how you can be part of the energy in the right way:
🤎 Celebrate, don’t center. Dance, vibe, and enjoy the space — but let the culture lead.
🤎 Support with intention. Spend with our Black-owned vendors and businesses.
🤎 Be self-aware. Know when to listen, when to step back, and when to uplift others.
We’re building a holiday experience grounded in love and liberation — and we’re glad to have you be part of it.
