[About The ICOM Masters’ Series]
The ICOM Masters’ Series is a once-a-month masterclass conducted by prominent music artists, musicians, music producers, songwriters, arrangers, audio engineers and music business professionals. Each master class offers young musicians the opportunity to engage with these esteemed “Who’s Who” of the Malaysian professional music industry professionals by asking questions, volunteering to jam with them on stage and/or meeting them after the masterclass to network for their music careers.
The audience will be made up of all manner of musicians, whether amateur or professional musicians or student musicians from the universities, colleges and music schools across Malaysia. “Our Masters’ Series is intended to bring the music community together under one roof to share best practices and learn from one another. This unique platform provides an opportunity for established musicians to share knowledge with younger and upcoming musicians, and by doing so to leave a legacy, while for younger musicians, a firsthand knowledge of what the music industry is and how to navigate it in the 21st century. This would be a crucial inspiration and connection for young musicians who are planning to enter the music industry upon graduation”, said Irene Savaree, the President & CEO of ICOM.
The ICOM MASTERS’ SERIES masterclasses take place on one Thursday each month (except for August & December) at 3pm at the ICOM Recital Hall in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. There is a minimal registration charge of RM10.00 per person. Those interested may WhatsApp (019) 4023431 for more information.
