About this Event
Large scale careers exhibition with exciting workshops and chances to meet with employers, support services (including the council’s own employability support network), local education and training providers, find volunteering opportunities and plenty more!
During the day there will be a timetable of workshops including:
- How to make your application stand out
- Interview like a pro
- Staying strong while job seeking
Each of these will be delivered by our specialist employment mentors who will also be on hand to help you to find further support.
The main hall will feature a large job fair which is your chance to chat to employers and find out what they are looking for when it comes to hiring – if you impress enough you may even get offered work there and then!
As well as employers there will be chances to talk to various local volunteering opportunities, training providers and support services who can help with helping you to get the experience and qualifications needed to land your dream job.
Timings for the day:
11.30am – quiet hour for people who find busy environments overwhelming and first workshops begin
12.30pm – job fair opens to all
3.30pm – event ends
