About this Event
Gayle Rowcroft (CIPD Branch in Sussex Committee Member) and Derek Osborn (Business and Career Coach for Whatnext4u), will be delivering an exclusive opportunity to spend a day reviewing, cultivating, creating, and developing your own career.
An interactive and collaborative day working through exercises which will enable attendees to:
- Gain a greater understanding of your talents and strengths.
- Learn how to gather and use feedback to fulfil your potential and do what you do best!
- Increase your self-awareness of your values and what’s most important to you.
- Gain fresh insights into ‘where you are now’ vs ‘where you want to be and how your development options can be aligned to future business strategic direction.
- Have space and time to focus on your career, your future direction and have an opportunity to think ‘out of the box’ to consider different options.
- Learn skills and build ideas to be effective in developing and managing your own career going forward.
- Have a chance to redefine yourself and take control of your career.
- Become focused and motivated to develop yourself both professionally and personally.
It will be a full day event with catering for tea and coffee on arrival and throughout the day with a buffet lunch.

08:30 - Arrival and refershments

2 x 30 minute tea breaks
16:30 - Event ends
Not suitable if travelling by public transport due to its rural location, parking is avaliable.
Places are limitied, please ensure that if you book you attend.
There will be a ½ hour pre- meeting to explain and provide some work to be completed prior to the day as it will inform some of the day’s activities. Attendance is compulsory.

About the speakers
Derek Osborn, Business and Career Coach for Whatnext4u
Derek is an enthusiastic and experienced career coach. He has designed and delivered coaching, mentoring and career development workshops and training with many organisations, and previously with Sussex CIPD. He has been actively involved in the mentor program and training mentors.
Gayle Rowcroft, Grief Coach and CIPD Branch for Sussex Committee Member.
Gayle Rowcroft is an experienced and passionate coach, specialising in loss and grief. She has experience in HR as an Employee Engagement and Internal Communications Manager, organising many well-being and communication events and working with people to develop themselves to live the life they desire.
