Caring for children who have experienced trauma can be incredibly meaningful — and incredibly hard.
Many caregivers experience moments of burnout, grief, disruption, or crisis and may feel unsure where to turn for help. This CARE Meeting will provide a safe and supportive space to talk about those challenges and learn practical tools for navigating difficult seasons.
During this session we will discuss:
• Recognizing signs of caregiver burnout and compassion fatigue
• Understanding trauma responses in children and teens
• What to do when things feel like they are escalating
• How to ask for help before reaching a breaking point
• Local resources and supports available to foster and kinship families
This evening will include dinner, childcare, and connection with other caregivers who understand the journey.
RSVP required to ensure appropriate amount of child care.
