About this Event

Join us for Carbon Neutral Coffee!

Hosted by RegenAll, Carbon Neutral Coffee is the monthly gathering where Lancaster County business leaders connect, learn, and think differently about sustainability, over free coffee and pastries from Commons Company.

This month we're learning about effective climate communication from Alysha Ulrich with Delaware's State Climate Office.

Alysha will bridge her experience in climate policy + climate science to share her own and others' research on climate communication, and how she's implemented the findings through Climatific. Climatific is a free, weekly newsletter geared for everyday people trying to understand the planet we live on, what's happening to it, and why it matters.

This event is for businesses, policymakers, students, and community members of all levels of experience interested in learning more about climate change - and what you can do to make Lancaster County more resilient.

Agenda

7:30-8am: Check in, meet other business leaders, and enjoy free coffee and pastries from Commons Company.

8-8:30am: Presentation

8:30-9am: Q+A/Discussion

Meet this month's guest speaker, Alysha Ulrich!

Alysha works in Delaware's State Climate Office to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation, land use, and industry sectors. She has previous experience at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the City of Pittsburgh. She is a published researcher through Stanford University and Pennsylvania State University on the topics of climate misinformation and obstruction, the public perception of climate policy, and climate activism. Alysha has a B.S. in Earth Science & Policy from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyer Honors College. She is also the founder of Climatific, a free, weekly newsletter that explains climate science to non-technical audiences.
