Car Seat Safety Check Up Event-St Pete-Saturday, April 18th
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue and the Juvenile Welfare Board are excited to invite John’s Hopkins All Childrens Hospital, Safe Kids Suncoast and the St. Petersburg Police Department to participate in our First Year Safety Fair for Babies & Caregivers.
A car seat is one of the best ways you can protect your child while traveling in a vehicle but using it correctly can be a challenge.Join us for our Car Seat Safety Check up Event on Saturday, April 18th-register once per family for a 1/2 hour appointment! Our team of nationally certified child passenger safety technician(s) will guide and educate you and will be on hand to provide free car seat safety checks to ensure your child's safety while on the road. Located at the Childs Park Rec Center @ 4301 13th Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33711, this event is open to all parents and caregivers.
At your car seat checkup appointment. You should leave confident that your child's seat is installed correctly and feel comfortable reinstalling it on your own. Here are some tips on how you can prepare for your appointment:
- Install the car seat in your vehicle before your appointment.
- Bring the child car seat instructions manual to your appointment.
- Bring your vehicles owners' manual to your appointment.
- If your child is already born, know your child's weight and height.
