On Saturday, June 27th, the Natural History Society of Maryland will tour the Robert Long House, the Garden and 1732 Thames Street, and the Daniel McMeal House. The group, founded in 1929, has varied interests in the exploration and preservation of Maryland’s natural environment. Today, the Society is headquartered at 6908 Bel Air Road. The building is now being refurbished for new exhibit space and offices. The tour will expand the Society’s knowledge of Fell’s Point's history and the impact of colonial development on the natural landscape of the pre-colonial waterfront.
