Capoeria Canavial invites you to join us for this unique and fun special workshop event.

- 2:15-3pm Samba Dance Workshop with Alessandra Silva
- 3:15-4pm Maculelê Workshop with Mestre Lucas Corvo
- 4:15-5pm Capoeira Workshop with Mestre Lucas Corvo
- 5-6pm Capoeira Roda

Alessandra Silva ~
As a dancer and wardrobe/fashion designer (I worked with Maria Helena Souza - GNT), I collaborate with other artists and performers, offering organization and dance, specializing in Samba no pé.
In Brazil I participated in Teatro Popular Solano Trindade for eight months in Embu das Arte - São Paulo, which inspired further dancing endeavors. Since moving to Minnesota, I have danced in events organized by Robert Everest, like Carnaval Brasileiro of the Twin Cities and Festa de São João. I also helped Karen Quiroz in an event called Samba Meu, which was a celebration of Brazilian culture, including music, dance, visual art, and food.
Mestre Lucas Corvo ~
Mestre Lucas Corvo was born and raised in Rosa Neto, Eunapolis, Bahia, Brazil. He grew up training Capoeira with dedication since age 9. Now teaching for 30+ years and has been a Mestre for 10+ years. He enjoys sharing his great appreciation for Capoeira and inspiring a love of Capoeira and Brazilian culture with new students.
