Locked away and singing like their lives depended on it, Cap'n Spoonbill & The Hoiho need your help!Journey across the choppy uncharted waters of the Otago inlet to the long deserted Quarantine Island where the infamous Cap'n Spoonbill and his crew of Hoiho have been imprisoned for crimes against music. Join them as they attempt to lull their captors into a deep sleep by screaming shanties from the high seas at them so that they can make their escape.
Cap'n Spoonbill & The Hoiho have become Dunedin Fringe Festival favourites and promise to bring a rip-roaring, thigh-slapping, throat-aggravating sing-song to another wild and historical Ĺtepoti venue.
How you get to the island is up to you. Sail your own armada across the strait, brave the fathomless deep on a kayak, swim across the shark infested waters or you could just get the ferry which will be running on time for the show!
Ferry tickets must be purchased separately from the Port to Port ferry, for $25 return. The ferry can take 50 people per trip and will do 3 trips before and after show time.

You don't have to use the ferry if you would prefer to make your own way across. Kayak, paddle board, sail, drift or swim but Cap'n Spoonbill can accept no responsibility for any danger you may put yourself into while traversing the wild oceans.
But seriously, don't be stupid, we would rather you made it to the gig safe and dry than sank to the bottom of the Otago Harbour.
You can't sing if your dead!!
